I survived 3 days on a mountain bike camp riding through Nanga before school broke up. Nothing but wind and rain and some awesome single tracks. Did a couple of the loops out there that were a great mix for xc and downers. I think the Dr broke a chain out there recently.
I ride an old school San-Anreas. Thing weighs a tonne.

Haha, yeah earlier this year I broke a rear derailleur on one of the school bikes. The students thought it was hilarious.

Did you do any of the loops?
We did an 8km one and a 5km one at one of the camp sites. Awesome fun.
Might have to go for a drive and hang out there for a day. One place had 3 different loops from beginner to expert. There used to be some north shores set up behind Mundaring years back at little ovens. Not sure if they're still there. They were heaps of fun. Had the 4X4 and rotated runs for driving. Ended up being a race between my car and the bikes.

When I went down last year we drove quite far from the camp to find a trail. That was me and 3 of the PE teachers. It was raining so we left the kids back at camp with the other teachers and went and had some fun on our own.

This year we did a couple of the loops near the campsite, they seem ed pretty tame though so must of been beginner ones.

The north shore your talking about was at mount gunjin DH. Its all gone now but wamba has recieved a heap of funding and will be building a new set of DH style flow travks down that same hill.

Also if you like that north shore sort of stuff you should check out the southshore trails in dwellingup. Youtube it. Ther fun. Ive ridden both my trail and DH bike ther.
