What attracted me to it:

-Other business is a 4 minute cycle away
-New house is a 4 minute cycle away
-I love coffee and my heart has been empty since Vastese Cafe met its untimely death.
-Came up at a reasonable price (although I was still on the fence initially)

What variables did I use:

It was either this or start building a Porsche (keeping in mind that building a backdate 911 hot rod would have cost a tonne more than buying a small business, hence why I say "start building").

I thought of a number, offered it and the owners accepted it as they needed to get out due to current international living arrangements. Hence, deal done.

This is more a side business to indulge in coffee, keep the wifey busy, and to have a bit more play money.. And hopefully at the end, ill have some for that Porsche :-)
The hard part is juggling this plus my ever increasing role at the juggernaut that is Vastese Bakery.

Needs more Porsche?

Shall be there as usual Saturday morning, I may go hard at the gym this week so I can indulge in French Toast - I hear the bread will go from good to amazing.
Also, you may want to buy a few light globes to replace the many missing / not working ones - unless you are keen on the mood lighting

Same goes for kitchen staff. Unless you want to continue compensating your patrons with vouchers. (Which subsequently don't get used because ex-patrons have no desire to return)

Yeah the kitchen is an issue.. which is being worked on as we speak The issue is a lack of consistent staff in there, the jobs were/are being shared around.

The new French toast is fucking amazing by the way, we have tweaked it as of today.

Will stop refusing to make "green eggs" just scrambled without green?

That was the last straw for me ...

Trust me when I say I walked in there yesterday and started busting heads about the breakfast feedback from the AL / PWRX crew, even though we don't take over until Saturday, the owner has given me permission to start managing 5 working days before to get a running start.

It's not going to be perfect until we have a permanent part time cook in there, but for the time being, its improved greatly. Prices have been adjusted too, shit that cost way too much to begin with has been amended
