Shiba's can be dangerous little fags! haha

Maybe look into adopting an ex racing greyhound? Awesome dogs if you can get a well mannered one.

As it puts less strain on the neck and possibly gives you move control over the dog?
when I had to relocate my 6kg cat to the new house I used one of these dog harnesses to familiarize him outside without running away. The little cunt was strong enough to bust the plastic clip and run off in a blink of an eye. Lucky he came back an hour later when he got hungry

I used to walk my 65kg bullmastiff and american staffy with something like this. It prevented any one or any dog coming within 50m's of us .

Not that they needed it at all. Never pulled on my lead or got aggressive with other dogs or people, i only had them to avoid getting a fine.

Personally i've only owned staffies, bull terriers, mastiffs, and amstaffs. Can vouch for all of them being wonderfully natured and great with other dogs (none desexed). All comes down to how they are trained and raised. Ironically the onl dogs that have ever tried to bite me were farming breeds (border collies, blue/red heelers, kelpies) but again that reflects more about the owner, than the breed or the dog itself.

If you want any info on the breeds i've owned feel free to pm me. had nearly a dozen all up over the last 20 odd years.

Can't really go wrong with your lab/golden retreiver sort of breeds, but they drop a shitload of hair.

Cheers for all the information so far guys, will have a good read when I get home.

In regards to eye protection I was told this by a dog groomer whether its bs or not I'm not sure, just putting it out there.

Cheers,

Eye protection is only needed if you plan on taking your dog for lots of drives & they want to stick their head out the window. The goggles will stop bugs and grit, etc.

My staffy is a fucking arsehole.
Beautiful natured, magic with kids.
But a fucking arsehole. Constantly jumping the fence when you go out.
Has two beds in the house so can be around you wherever you are.
Sleeps on the couch when you go to bed. Can never catch him but. I get up and he's in his bed, but hair all over the couch.
Strubaru, munya, rjb and 1 others like this.

I got a English staffie.. Still has his balls and is 4 yrs old... Is great with my little boy(3yrs) never had a problem with people or other dogs... He won't start anything but will put other dogs in their place pretty fast if they step out of line..
After owning different dogs over the years I have found smaller breeds to be more flighty then bigger dogs get scard more and tend to nip at younger kids ... Also they bark at everything that is bigger then then...
+1 for a staffie... U won't find a more loven and loyal dog...
