To all you small business owners I need some help please.
We want to start up a small business (Hair salon), we know rough location, but being a dumb kiwi I have no idea in slightest about how to go about it. Is there anyone you can point me to that can help us get started, from arranging business name, ABN, and general advise about insurance, liabilities, software for payroll etc etc...

I did a Small Business Management course at Tafe - really really good and covers all the stuff you need to know. Maybe you could do that?

There is a small business support centre across from Cinema City on Hay Street (553).
I heard they can help get you up and running.

When you want to design a logo,cards,signage etc for your company you can try our Graphic Design company p.m if you want contact details and they can put together a quote and estimate pricing etc for you

We found the SBDC quite helpful. Definately contact them first.
