Depending on your point situation you might prefer a couple hundred extra out of your pocket, more so than 3 more points? Can you really confirm it was you driving said company vehicle after all?

Ok I just spoke to the Cop shop to clear this up.
Red Light Fines are not subject to Double Demerits..........WIN It was the Mrs in the work vehicle, the fine is $300 until we declare the driver. She is happy to take the points to save $150 which is win.............of course we would have declared regardless....

As the driver couldn't be identified 'at the time due to being a work vehicle', the fine is $300 not $150, or are all fines like this when multiple people can possibly be assigned to the same vehicle? That's rather, well... 'If that's the case'

Only when the vehicle is registered under a company name. All private vehicle fines go to the registered owner.

Just adopt the Essendope approach - deny, deny, deny, deny, deny that you did anything wrong.
...then, 12 months later - BOOM!!!! $2m fine!!!! Suck it ;-)

The "company entity" fine only occurs if the "driver in charge" isn't declared by a "person of responsibility" from the company and is double the cost of the original fine. The charge occurs if the driver in charge isn't stated by the due date. The fine is then charged to the company entity.
DO NOT consider filling in a stat dec stating "the driver couldn't be ascertained" as this is equivalent to contempt of court and carries a serious fine and possible jail term for the person making the declaration if found to be deliberately false. If the driver in charge is declared on the form in time then the fine reverts to the original cost and is forwarded to the declared driver in charge. They are then given further time to pay the fine. Running a red light Is not a double demerit fine.
