suggest you all get a doberman (black is pref but red will do) then sit back and forget about break-ins at your home, trust me it works or if you don't believe me just call round to mine sometime and see for yourself. Safe as and never have to call the cops, (one exception when Tyler sent one up a tree in my backyard).

With all due respect to boys in blue, i am not a cop because of the horrendus shit that they deal with. So why do they so often highlight the hardships of the job?? Dont like it? Dont do it!!
Nobody forces them to stay in their jobs, like anyone employed. Sure, some do a good job, a job NOT for me,so i do something else. I dont work at Maccas cos i know how much they are paid, and the conditions of employment.
What kind of people become police? and why?? Is it because they have a genuine urge to help the community and uphold law and order??But only if the price is right?? So obviously the mighty dollars far outweighs the need to "protect and serve"
It was a free choice for them to take the job, is it the ONLY job in the world? Maybe for the power trip, plenty of perks too. Respect for the coppers that DO a good job, flush the rest.
We ALL would like a pay rise wouldnt we? Pollies are the only ones looking after themselves, cops should punish them, not joe citizen

I am a cop and you just dont get 138 sick days to take off at your whim, you have to be injured at work or seriously sick to get sick days off. All days have to be accompanied with a Doctors certificate.

The reason why we have so many is because we have no workers compenstation scheme, so if you get hurt arresting someone then you can use your sick days and still get paid. As you now it takes alot longer than 138 days to recover when your shot, so the rest of the days off you have to pay for yourself, no pay. As with the justice system what others have said is all too true, we bust ourselves day in day out and the judge just gives the offender a 200 fine for assaulting a Police Officer. Maybe now you understand why we are after a pay rise

we get ten paid sick days a year, the rest would be unpaid, they get 138 paid sick days, and yes like the cops on here have said yes they have to be sick or injured to take them, they get more cos they run alot higher risk then the rest of us to be injured. I think thats how it works??? im sure the cops on here could clarify??

i dont think anyone would get given 138 days they dont have to be sik for.
