Vigilante action FTW! Set up bait cars in lockridge and away we go!

Paying judges et al less and the police more might see some better people going for the jobs

I'm talking about 1 suburb with an atrocious number of break ins.

Comparing the entire WA or Australia is just plain stupid. Do you really want to compare the number of deaths per day ? Cause than we have a population crisis because tons of people are dying everyday.

As for you being a cop, well that just shows how bias your comments are.

If I were a cop myself its just common sense I would push for a payrise.

When my house got broken into, all the cops did was to ask me to "take a hike near your house if you can find your belongings". <-- Excellent Advice. Thanks

I would really love to hear them saying, "we'll step up more patrols in the suburb and see what we can do". Instead they send a forensic police, walked into my house with her dirty boots on, didn't even stay long enough to put down her briefcase. Her facial expressions just shows me she isn't interested in entertaining this case and said there was nothing she could do and gave me some sort of a card and walked out.

My friend's house gets broke into and give the cops a ring. They said they'll drop by in 3 hours. (This is with the understanding that my friend is not the only case that the police has to handle.)

When prompted if they could come earlier "POLITELY", the reply was, "Do You Still Want Us To Come Or Not" Whats with the attitude if the caller was polite and suffering from shock due to a break in ? Was it neccessary ? Even the window replacement was done long before the cops even arrive.

End of Story. I rest my case.

For the cops out there who does their job and even some who goes the extra mile, THEY ARE THE ONES WHO DESERVE A PAYRISE. Fucking 20% payrise is probably not even enough for those who do their job and get shit from the public !

For those cops who reckon the citizens OWE them a living, its our fault that crimes occur and don't even do their job. Seriously they should get fired.

theres no point going to all the trouble of an investigation and arrest, if some fucked up out of touch judge lets the offender loose with a smack on the wrist!

If the courts did thier job properly, the cops would have a much easier job to do, and they wouldnt be demanding a pay rise and going on strike.
right on ! i hear ya !!!!

For all of you who think they don't do their job, get paid enough, rar rar rar, think about this. How about we all go without police for a while? And see how much better things really get? Fuck that. Imagine.... Kamahl and his fucking G unit non reflective crew would literally take control. Like I said...scrap that!

I know it sometimes takes ages for Police to show to a scene, but why? IMO its due to a severe lack of police, a shithouse justice system (as outlined above), and no real system in place to prevent offenders from reoffending.... up the police, pay them a bit more and then see how many houses Kamahl and his cousins can break into on a Thursday afternoon....

By the sounds of things, there are a few disgruntled members of this forum who have had adverse run ins with the cops. I've been there, most of you would have. Yes I've had my house broken into, and yes, I waited two days for them to show up. But at the end of the day, they have to carry out their role, and living in a ghetto suburb like Maylands doesn't help on the best occasions.....

i'm definately all for a pay increase for the boys in blue. you have to put yourself in their shoes to realise the danger they do face.

as for the the little 'misguided' shit heads that rob pensioners, break in your home and steal your car it all comes back to PARENTING. They dont care where the kids are or what they're doing. it's very far fetched but i think the oxygen thiefs should be steralised.

And this is why my teaching degree will never get used.

Get paid 40k to be abused by 30 15 year olds? Ill pass. The deciding factor was my last prac.. at Morley High School. Watched one of the teachers get called a "Irish fuckhead" and he was powerless to stop it, the powerless to calm a room full of year 12's laughing their heads off. After class walking back and watching him shaking with anger and stress made me decide thats not for me.

I make more now, do less work, and have a very open career path.

Being a policemen , for their current wage, is a shitty job. Why do you think they take their anger out on easy targets like modified car owners
