subs undoing bolts?
I installed my amplifier & subs in my car on sunday...drove to work, with music blaring, and back...happy as anything...that is until i went to the shops, went over a speed bump and heard a loud bang from the boot....as it turns out, the vibrations from the subs loosened and undone the nuts holding on the spoiler....the bang i heard was the spoiler bouncing on the boot... lucky it didnt do any damage.

Nice work, be proud. Maybe some loctite, buy a big tube you may need it for all the other bolts that are going to work their way loose. Havent found anything to stop rear vision mirrors from vibrating down yet.

yeah, i took care of the bolts for the spoiler, but i am slightly concerned over what else might get shaken loose

The other option is that they were already loose and co incidentally today was the day they let go. |

use nyloc nuts or nordlock washers to fasten anything down, the nordlock washers wud probably be better as they are constructed to withstand vibrations.
