well at the bottom of the box there is no plug... on the side near the bottom there is a bolt which i would say is to drain it other then that there is no other area to fill from...

on my 323 there was a "check" bolt on the side of the gearbox about halfway up, used to judge how much oil is in the box. drained the oil and filled it up through the check bolt until it started spewing out.

in the fwd's ive done the gearbox oil in, the filler plug is a few inches above the drain plug on the housing. make sure you can undo the filler bolt before you undo the drain plug. and also make sure that you lower the car so its at its normal ride height before you fill it with oil. if you fill it till it spews when its on an angle you might have too little or too much fluid.

chee makes a very good point, you will shit kittens if you find the filler bolt is stuck and you've just drained your oil :P
