My brother in law had a manual Xtrail took it on the beach and fried the clutch somewhat getting unbogged. Nissan said the warranty is void as he took it offroad.

Forester X Luxury pack (2007) is where it is at Russ - sunroof, dual range gearbox, leather seats. The 2.5L NA is not that bad - definitely a step down from a turbo but so smooth to drive.

Took an xtrail and crv for a test drive last night. Both where really nice. The interior of the xtrail is ugly as sin on the pre 08 models though. So looking at maybe financing a bit more money that originally planned and get a 2010/2011 demo or new xtrail. Seemingly holding their value really well.

Ok we decided on a Diesel Xtrail. Absolutely love it! So good on fuel. Came with rubber floor mats etc. Best mats ever!

Took it to Lano and had fun in the dunes and on the beach. Got bogged once. Other times when on the beach had to pull a Jeep wrangler and Hyundai soft roader out of the bog. haha good fun!

Here are some pics.

20% tint all round and light tint on the front. Also made up an ali bash plate for the rear. Will make a front one to one day.

Bought a snatch strap and some good shackles. Loving it!
