PowerFC is a stand alone ECU.
Linkg3 and autronic use map sensors instead of afms so yeah u can get rid of the afm all together with those 2 ECU's. Z32 = 300zx AFM You could sell the my00 AFM second hand for $100 or whatever, and buy the z32 for another $150 roughly.

Its better to have the no AFM at all right.. purely use the map sensor, isnt that correct?

Id imagine so. But for $850 for an ECU + AFM compared to the cost of a $1800 autronic or Linkg3 (whatever its worth) you have to think to yourself, What application are you using it for? How long are you going to keep the car? Pretty much, is buying a Up-market ECU worth it? If the answer is track/drags/longtime/yes, well. Autronics/motec/Linkg3 away :P

Also have a look at this Rexnet discussion on Power FC's and AFM's.
http://www.rexnet.com.au/forum/index...ic=61969&st=10 A 90mm inlet piping Q45 AFM can be used as well ....
