To be honest I just thought it would add some wank. Didn't know it might hurt the engine, still don't know why it would? Car eventually will (hopefully) be making 320whp on between 20-25psi with a TD05-18g. That's the goal.

Edit: The GT Spec cap is rated to 18.5psi. What's the standard MY99 cap rated to? I'm guessing around 15-16 ??

if it holds more pressure than a stocko before releasing the coolant to the overflow tank it will obviosly put more pressure on your stock head gaskets and in some cases has caused head gasket failure just making you aware that something you might not really consider a performance upgrade could lead to a forced perormance upgrade (ie. head work)

I was thinking along similar lines, but with regards to the radiator hoses being the issue, and to be honest I didn't really think it would affect anything very much until you mentioned it. It's just a radiator cap I thought Thanks for the warning

Yea head work is on the cards but I'd rather it be on my terms than a forced issue haha. It was merely for wank not an upgrade as such.

OK so everything is starting to look good. Should have a PFC and AVCR in a few weeks time to go with a new fuel pump, full PSR silicone inlet and K&N pod.

Now I want to get a 300zx AFM. Where can the wiring plugs be brought from? Also any adapters or the like to connect the silicone pieces and filter with the new AFM?

should be able to get the plugs where you get the z32 afm from

also if your happy to modify the stock airbox you can fit without a new filter
if not get the apexi power intake filter one should bolt straight up to the z32 if you get the right one

though you seem to have already got a k&n one I dont think they will bolt up

Cheers, yea I brought Jay's silicone stuff and filter. Getting another filter isn't a problem although I will measure it up to see what the inside diameter is and what I can do. Thanks again

I was in email contact with perfectrun.com and they have informed me there are none in stock and would need to be built again, but last I heard Apexi was tits up so unsure if it will ever happen.
