Any experiences/advice appreciated.

Okay, I have sought out answers from those in the know and the Power FC seems to be at the top of the list as it can be installed and tuned along with a new Z32 AFM and a form of boost control for around the $2k mark by the boys @ ASG.

I would like some info on where people have gotten theirs from ie ebay or a company's internet site, if there are any places local that do them for a good price or if anyone knows of one for sale second hand. The model I'm after is: 414-AF003 with hand controller to suit an MY99.

I have found some at AU$876.14 (on special apparently, $963.75 normally) plus shipping at nengun.com, and $1,038.67 + $54 shipping from http://www.jappartsspecialist.com/pr...roducts_id=209, and also several new Z32 AFM's from justjap.com for $299ea.

nengun.com is obviouisly pretty cheap but have no idea on their reliability. JPS seem to have a good wrap from customers but then we start talking import costs on top which I'm guessing is 10%. Doesn't seem to be much on ebay except for jps.

P.S. I have explored the option of a second hand Possum Link V5 from a member (at a very good price, should already have sold ) which would obviously ditch the AFM all together. Advice received from Mr. Box has pushed me to the PFC. Second hand Autronics could also be considered but there doesn't seem to be many who would sell theirs either.
Also for anyone considering a similar setup we could group buy?

I managed to get mine off him for about $920 to my door including hand controller. Picked up a Z32 from ebay for $250. Fast, no hassles, deposited the money into his account and it was at my door in 4 days. This was, mind you, early last year.

I have the same setup Z32+ power fc in my car tuned by boys at asg

second hand power fcs come up quite often check rexnet as well can be had much cheaper than new

if your not keen on second hand,I used nengun once and they were very good, I hadnt heard much about them but they do guarentee delivery of the part, the part I bought from them was much cheaper though so I wasnt too fussed about risking it


z32s from memory can also be picked up from from coventrys for 300 if your not keen on ebay

im interested in a group buy. i have a 99/ MY00, so i dont know if part numbers match. i think we are chasing a v5? correct me if im wrong. im also chasing a z32. im aware that the afm on the gc8 is a weak point, but is their any reason to change to a z32 if the stock afm is doing its job? cheers Luke
