the ixus 75 is bloody awesome. its compact and u can turn it on and just point, shoot in less than 2 secs. however i personally prefer the wide angle version. look at the specs on the canons, there is one model that's got a 28mm wide angle lens. might be a little bit bigger than the ixus 75 though.

the 960 doesnt look that great compared to the 860 IS.
i think its 12MP, compared to 8MP of the 860.

comparing the 860IS to the IXUS 75 - the only major difference is the wide angle lens of the 860...

Not worth the extra money IMO.
i went with the IXUS 75 - got it for $325 incl 2 gig card.from retravision
