Canon Powershot S5 if you don't mind the added size.

Added advantages are more optical zoom and more features to do those 'fancy shots'.

Have a browse on www.dpreview.com

Higher end of the P+S type of camera. You could almost call it semi-slr. They do get a bit bulky for a p+s camera.

If you're going to go one of those, you may as well go for an SLR.

Interested as well.

Which one takes the best photos in low light conditions? My Fujifilm 455 sucks the big one in low light.

Also what are the speed of the shots? Again my 455 is slow as anything to take a photo (which is a PITA when trying to get a shot of a car at say Barbagello - I've got lots of pics of the track though!)

Good price and digitalrev are great to deal with - You will find it cheaper, but it has the added peace of mind that they aren't dodgy. I've bought about $3k worth of gear from them with no issues whatsoever.

Bloody fast service too. They have an aussie dealer for warranty repairs also.

Before you settle on that camera, have a look around. There are a million and one ixus cameras that will do a good job. Just check the specs and make sure it's fit for your purpose.

So is the IXUS 75 the top of the line? Given that it's only ~$300 there seems no point looking at any lower spec?

Edit: The new 960 would be tops I'm guessing.
