The most professional/respected camera repairers in perth would be Hartland Cinemex (edward street east perth).
when I used to be a camera technician I worked there.
they were the authourised service caentre for all the good brands- nikon, olympus, canon etc.
we used to do all the work for w.a. newspapers, sunday times, w.a. museum, army, airforce, education department, police etc.
they know their stuff!

Bumping this, where's the best place to clean the sensor? Had a go myself but not much luck.

ended up taking it to hartland...$60.50

looks cleaner, still 2 or 3 dust spectacles visible at f22. Quite cheap compared to others depends if 2 or 3 are still acceptable but im guessing its bloody hard to completely clean it

what camera Pete? your always gonna get dust on your sensor I dont worry too much about it, I just use wet swabs every couple months or so to clean it, although the mkII has inbuilt sensor cleaner "doesnt work that well"

yeah mkII. All camera cleaning systems are shit...all of them canon or nikon! yeah i figured it's more achievable to grab a mosquito by its balls whilst wearing a boxing glove than to get completly dustless sensor hence why i didnt go back and complain

I wouldnt be shooting at f22 because you will loose sharpness due to diffraction anyway. I never need to go past about f11 generally and small dust particles are not that visible.

yup never do go fast f16, and that's only for those 'infinite' landscapes but f22 is good for dust checking
