Did as little as possible LOL. My best posting was 4years at Buchan on the T93 Radar 😎 Coningsby was my poo hole of a posting but by then I'd PVR'd as my visa for Oz had come through. Only thing that stopped me going potty at Coningsby was the BBMF 😏

Jealous you guys got to see those oldies in action up close. The closest I have come to some classics was USS Intrepid in NYC. Was fkn cool standing under an SR-71 and Concorde though and really getting a scale of there size. The concorde was surprisingly not a big plane! Asked my uncle what it was like to fly on one as he had several times...he confirmed it was pretty epic. Shared some dope facts about them too which was interesting.
Once I book a holiday or big trip which fortunately for me, happens every year, my plane spotting goes into full effect. I do have a genuine interest in aviation but theres something about travelling that makes one develop more interest in flying. Heading over to Eastern Europe for a month full of debauchery towards the end of the year |

That's awesome you got so close to the stealth. Been close and personal with a lot of planes over my younger years but never seen a stealth plane. My dad used to work on the mosquitos when he was in the RAF as an engine tech when he was younger. When I was a kid he used to take me all over the place to see to see the airshows and aircraft museums etc. Used love that and there is nothing like those UK airshows. Brilliant memory's as a kid and saw some old greats at those shows on the ground and in the air.
