Here are some pics from the camera Marc (ninjawrx) just sold me recently. The camera is an Canon AE-1 Program - 35mm Film Camera. The camera is older than me

This is what the camera looks like.

Marc hadn't use the camera prior to my purchase off him. So when I bought it off him I had to give it a spit and polish, replace the battery, load it with film and take some photos. Marc offered to refund my money if the camera didn't work. Guess what Marc, I'm keeping it

These are how the photos turned out.

I don't think the scanning of these, then conversion to jpeg does the quality any justice. The prints were awesome. The colours turned out great in natural lighting. In artificial lighting however, skin tones sometimes turn out greenish. May need to use a flash/filters.

To find out more about the AE-1 Program, click here.

Should we start a non D-SLR thread?

Regards
Fred

Yeah, one of the advantages of a digital one, not it matters too much, its easily solved with a simple filter.
If you want filters for artificial lighting, then I suggest you get 2, one for fluro lights (gives a greenish tinge to photos) and another for tungsten lights (gives a yellowish/orange tinge)

Film cameras have so much more to tell than a digital camera, I tend to like the noise of film cameras, it makes them more authentic if you ask me.

Photos were shot on ISO 400 film. Not much noise on the actual prints. I think it's the scanning that's made them look "authentic"

Fair bit of noise in the photo, should have run it through noise ninja before I posted it, but it was taken with a 400d at ISO 100 for about 30 seconds.

Are you using the stand-alone noise ninja or the Photoshop plug in version? Also, are you using the pro version or home version?

I'm thinking of buying it to clean up a few photos taken in low light.

Here is my in progress design that im working on at the moment.

Yes I know its not a photo, but the house isn't even built yet either :P
Design is based around the WAR Audio Dianne speaker surrounded by 2 sets of the open baffle rhythmic /GR research sub woofers. So the raven r1 ribbon, two accuton mid woofers and 6 12inch servo controlled sub woofers.

Surround speakers shown here are just place holders, and so are the amps and such. (most likely to use nuforce kit)
Real wall is concave shape and ceiling has acoustic tiles on it. I am planning on having the whole system controlled with a ps3.

Questions comments?
