The picture was taken with a robotic camera at 1,474 megapixel. (295 times the standard 5 megapixel camera). Obviously not my photo.
You can scan, double click and zoom to any section of the crowd. . . wait a few seconds. . . and the focus adjusts.

yeh there is some stitching fuck ups there, its not really that impressive same quality just lots stuck together.

I can see the orchestra cut around 8 bars of music from whatever song they have in front of them. Cool to be able to see that. But i agree Clarkson: not all that impressive.

Its a bad subject choice for a stiched image... I also dont see why you need a gigapan its farken easy to DIY hand held and get great results.

The gigapan is made for P&S cameras not DSLRS anyway.
