Looking on ebay ... as you do ... and saw this

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/15BHP-Power-M...QQcmdZViewItem

is it worth getting to play with.... or is it a waist of time?

Playing with the AFM can be a a bad idea .. I wouldn't trust it on my car, but that's just me.

Seems to be a classic example of 'cheap and nasty'.

Treat your WRX with respect, don't buy poo.

I cant believe people would even consider putting a stupid $35 "chip" in any car, let alone a WRX.

Yeah, do it...I'll show you why, taken directly from the sales literature!!

Quote:
The modification is designed to directly compete with the more expensive performance remapping systems, power programmers and upgrade chips, but a significantly reduced cost.
Yeah boi, MoTeC has nothin on this..

Quote:
You can expect to pay anything from $500-$900 for a full ECU remap service. This practically does the same thing at a fraction of the cost and for a similar power gain.
SWEET! Shove your Verso up your arse, ebaychip works best.

Quote:
It will modify any standard ECU by telling the ECU that the incoming air in the intake system is cold and so advances the ignition by up to 2 degrees with more fuelling to compensate, therefore producing more power. In many cases fuel economy is increased too.
Ok so more fuelling, but fuel economy is increased? WOW!! more is less!!!

Quote:
It will be more responsive and you WILL LIKE IT.
They say you will like it, so therefore you should buy it!

Quote:
What difference can you expect?
Higher top end speed
SWEET, IT EVEN CHANGES MY GEAR RATIOS!!!

Smooth out flat-spots
Awesome, so when my rod punches out the side of the block, will it smooth that out?
