Nothing wrong with these guys, 99.9% feedback.........GSS342 $155 to your door & should plug straight in, just make sure you use your old sock.

Not sure what the old sock is for. Can you please elaborate. I have plenty of old socks but I like to use them for my special meditation time in the evenings.

using the new fuel pump pickup (sock) can cause surging issues

I'm keen to hear about these possible surging issues. You would think the sock would have no effect on the rate of fuel delivered to the engine. If anything you would think using the old sock would be risky due to it being dirty or worn.

REFLEXWRX,
Buy a Walbro GSS 342, easy DIY. Trust us YOU HAVE TO use the old fuel bag/sock as the ones that come with the Walbro are tiny. As for the ECU, the quick easy way would be to find a member with a Oz Spec V6 ECU and throw that in. I'm sure there will be a few around. You will then need an Air Inlet Temp Probe wired in if you transplanting into a WRX, such as the one pictured in this thread. http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/showthre...0&page=1&pp=10 The other option is to just fit what you have a get the car on a dyno to check air/fuel mixtures and any detonation problems. Even maybe fit a manual boost controller if need be if the Jap Spec ECU will tolerate 98 RON fuel. J
