1. Anyone mentioning USA spec fuel - Avoid.
2. Generic 1 tune fits all? - Avoid if you want to maximise your results. 3. No dyno AFR check - Avoid. 4. High altitudes? Do they supply a bag of weed with the tune? 5. Company website offers nothing more than a PO Box in Secret Harbour as the address? Makes you think this is a backyard operation. Are they accredited with MTA to be offering vehicle services? What would be your legal recourse if they brick your ECU? 6. Who is ECUWest? whois lookup: Domain Name ecuwest.com.au Last Modified 05-Aug-2012 19:34:59 UTC Registrar ID Domain Central Registrar Name Domain Central Status ok Registrant THE TRUSTEE FOR D & S MCVILLY FAMILY TRUST Registrant ID ABN 28854938454 Eligibility Type Other Registrant Contact ID C084965-DC Registrant Contact Name Darren McVilly Registrant Contact Email darren@ecuwest.com.au Tech Contact ID C084965-DC Tech Contact Name Darren McVilly Tech Contact Email darren@ecuwest.com.au Name Server dns1.domaincentral.net.au Name Server IP 202.174.84.209 Name Server dns2.domaincentral.net.au Name Server IP 202.174.84.210 ABN lookup: ABN detailshelp Entity name: The Trustee for D & S McVilly Family Trust ABN status: Active from 30 Jan 2007 Entity type: Discretionary Trading Trust Goods & Services Tax (GST): Registered from 30 Jan 2007 Main business location: WA 6210 Trading name(s)help Trading name From Wendy's - Mandurah 30 Jan 2007 Deductible gift recipient statushelp Not entitled to receive tax deductible gifts Website started in August 2012. Previously/currently running a Wendy's at Mandurah shops. I'd prefer to see some more history with the tuning or find out more of what is going on. If it is a business run out of a shed, yes it will be much cheaper than a business that needs to rent premises, pay insurances, staff etc etc. I would also want to know more about the tuning, afr levels and the like. Generic tune not maximising your results based on a guess of what 98 RON fuel is like? Once you start adding in the cost (and your time) for a dyno power run to check AFR's and knock a cheap tune becomes more expensive. This is all not a negative, it could be a new guy on the scene starting up. At one point, ASG, MMS, Stechnic, Racetorque etc etc were all brand new, but are now the gods. All I am saying is do your research first.
