Fred,

I downloaded the first one you mention, and tbh it's shit with no subtitles, alot of non english speaking means you have no idea what's going on/being said. I'll d/l the longer one this weekend with the subs..

#2 - 2hr40 min docu - movie/making of & voice overs & interviews along the way - this has english subtitles embedded.

I'm looking for #1 with english subtitles.
link to the 2hr40min doco?

I think you should watch the 1hr45m movie first, then the doco/making of version second.

To pass 5 cars in a lap in Donnington 93, and to lap the field, when the Williams were 2 seconds a lap faster...

Monaco 92!

We could go on for ages here.

The incredible passion he showed for the sport, the compassion for felow drivers etc.

I dont recall Michael going out to see if Rubens was ok when he crashed at Imola, or Ratzenberger when he died.

I dont recall any other driver diving out their car to help save Donnely's life when he tore his Lotus in two.

But yes, you are right, there is more to it.

One thing the creators said they left out - Berger and Senna, about 9 months before Senna died - standing at Tambarello - and Senna says "one day someone will die at this corner" ...

The way he spoke about going beyond the limits physcially and mentally etc...

It is those poetic moments that really do add to the legend - but its not based on these moments.

Anyone who doubts Senna should watch the doco and read "The Life of Senna", then try and argue he wasn't the best.

/end

PS. That first lap at Donington in '93 is one of the best in all F1 history IMO.

1983 - had never driven a F1 car.

He was faster than world champion Rosberg!

I am old enough to remember F1 back in those days and will still argue about him being the best of all time. ONE of the best no question..

Comparing Vettel to Senna... Sheesh!
I'm going to push my luck
Vettel won Monza in 08 in a Toro Rosso, essentially a Minardi, despite the RBR connection. The only win that team has ever had in its 30 odd year history. The fact that they became back markers again as soon as he moved on shows his talent.
Remeniscent of Senna in the Toleman I think.
Time will tell.....
