The V1 is the best of the windshield mounted detectors. It has Euro Mode, best muting options, front + rear antennae and is easily the most sensitive. (~$750)

The X50 + vertical bracket will pretty much outperform anything else (~$500) but IMO that the V1 is still worth the money.

A couple of mates have the Whistler Pro 78 Rev C and are very happy with them. The new software with a so called 'euro / multanova mode' seems to have made bit of a difference.

Agree on V1 but ask Jezza about what's best for WA multinova detection. Laser detection is all well and good but by the time you get the Laser warning you are likely already gone imo.

I have to disagree with that I took mine back 3 times and they tested and gave me a new unit each time - lucky to get 100m warning, V1 = 400m+

Really, are you sure it was set up right? (No filter, euro mode enabled etc?) Wierd coz they're loving their whistlers.

Have to agree though, V1 is awesome! It's like turning god mode on in a video game haha.

Yep no filter, euro mode on, the manager even gave me the one out of his own car which didn't perfrom any better than the other 2! may have been a dude batch or something - decided to pay the difference and get the V1 couldn't be happier now

Selling my Beltronics Vector 955 Radar Detector in another thread for $150 if your interested..

I'm not sure but i think its pretty much the same as the RX65 (in KA/laser band detection range) but less programmable features and doesn't come with a hardwire kit..
