Wierd hey, who knows maybe the cameras were in low power mode or something.
Glad you're also happy with the V1 though

I've seen 3 rear facing in the last week, apparently they're testing them in that configuration.
V1 got well over 100m on each - how are other detectors going against this set up???

Also guys - be aware they're putting cameras that look to be in the normal, forward facing setup but they're in 'away' mode, getting the cars on the opposite side of the road as they move away from the camera! So you see the camera on the opposite side of the road and think yeah i'm ok, but it gets you from the rear, across the road, as you pass!!!

Example: Hutton St, Osborne Park last Saturday.

Excuse the crappy pic but it may help to explain what i mean:

yep came across this on Alexander Driver this past sunday arvo, X50 gave me shitloads of warning and I had to do some looking around to find the bastard. Went back and did a few tests from both directions. I am sorted no worries but they are getting sneaky with this set up.

Been moving house yesterday and today (arghh hate moving) so just jumping in now....

I had an X50 in my own car for close to 12 months back in 2005 (before mounting vertically) and never had a problem with warning (even on rear set ups) I still think for the money, they are a great little unit.

I've had mixed reviews on the Whistlers, some people swear by them, others have traded up to something else (I've had 2 trade-ins, both rev c)

I still love the V1, and apart from that annomoly with the down south camera, the V1 has been bullet proof.

For those with the coin, the new installed Escort 9500ci unit is pretty good having the GPS to lock out false alerts, but stupid Escort didn't allow for Ka narrow in the programming like they did the Bel STi-R installed one - so Multanova warning is only 100-200m warning time (front set up).

As for the vertical brackets, I should have a large amount of stock in about 2 weeks (fingers crossed) which are the new one-piece units as seen here: http://www.delonixradar.com.au/produ...l_bracket.html

I'll be offering a very nice group buy price when they get here, plus anyone with a "generation 1" vertical bracket will be offered a free upgrade to this new one (PWRX only)

If any members want a price on any model radar detector, pm me for PWRX pricing.

Jez
