hi all

im looking for a rhs c.v joint assembly as mine has split... what sort of price am i looking at? i have a 98 rex my99 gf8 wagon...

$100 to renew the boot, clean and repack the joint. Can do it on Friday while you're at TAFE if you like?

that sounds good, but my friend was asking, what if the inner joint is worn, then how much would the price be?

does it make any noise when you are turning corners? Clickity Clackity?

if not, its ok to just replace the boot.

haven't really noticed noise taking corners, but when you brake medium hard it does, but not all the time...while i was changing the rocker cover gasket today was when i noticed there was a lot of grease everywhere...

Only outers 'click-clack' when turning, inners rarely wear out as they don't have the angle change that outers do. If he needs a new CV then it's easier to swap the shaft for a good one. $200 fitted would cover it.

so my boot has lasted 7 months now, but now my inner l.h.s boot has shat itself! i just want to replace the axle/half shaft this time i think, i heard that is better as already dirt must have got inside the joints etc.

ok, so im after a l.h.s axle/ half shaft please, someone had one of these for me last time, but i lost the contact. if anyone else has one or can help, let me know.
