Default WTB: Delco 54001 Air Temp Sensor

Hi all,

Chasing a Delco 54001 Air Temp Sensor.

I already have one but need one that has not been modified to fit in the PCV hole in the manifold

IF anyone knows where I can get one, or has one for sale, let me know.

Cheers

Have rung ASG? Or closer to home, f&*khead at West Racing? I know they're not a Motec sensor per-say, but one of those 2 may well have stock on shelf.

Brent.

so where is the best location for it then? mine is installed in my aps intake before the turbo, i've been told its not the best spot as the air will get heated by the turbo then cooled down again by the tmic, the only spot i can think to put it (where it won't suffer heatsoak) is in the throttle body to tmic coupler pipe? where are you going to install yours?

Avo have a coupler that the sensor can be installed in on Tuspeed web page

No good.. the hole in the coupler is made to suit a thermocouple, and its very narrow (although it might work with some mods)

Also, to get an 08 STi TMIC to fit a cable throttle, a longer silicone joiner is required and I'm pretty sure that one is stock length and won't fit as a result.

Best place to put the sensor is pre-throttle body, either in the cooler pipe (if you have a FMIC), or in the TMIC outlet tank.
