I work for Mazda and yes they are a high maitenance vehicle! however i would love to own one, they are very nice to drive. yes they have no low down torque but once you get to 5000rpm they are awsome!!!
Find one that has been serviced regulary and make sure to start it from cold...if it seems slow in any way to start, walk away. I would also recommend doing a subaru upper engine clean every service, this will help alot with the carbon build up that comes from them not being driven hard enough. I always tell the customers who's cars have done over 50,000kms to do the upper engine clean and you can tell the difference in dring them afterwards. If you want any information just ask.

I'd only buy a 6 speed, they have the 6 port motor (190kw).....They're still not a patch on a decent 13b turbo though!
Avoid the Auto's they are shit & only pack 140kw! (It's not a side port Renesis but.....Round & round!) ![]()
