Not me, I'm mechanically sympathetic. Customers who should be driving HSV's or Skylines and like kicking the clutch.
I've broken R160 shafts in my rally car, one pre DCCD and one after. Then we went to the R180 and have not broken a shaft since. I did have a CV joint cage split on one though. Russ, your car has a VCD still? They seem to be much less prone to rear shaft failure. |

VCD? Its a r180 rear just dont know what type. Plus dccd center.

VCD = Viscous Centre Diff. If yours is DCCD then it's only a matter of time before you join the club unless you're really lucky or really sympathetic.
If your rear diff came from the same car as the gearbox (chances are it did) then 99% likely to be a plate LSD in the back. |
