What a crock. If he wants my vote go and win a world title in a couple of different manufacturers cars. Also he has been racing when the competition has been rather lax. Agreed you can only beat who is in front of you but wrc has hardly been a grpwing sport for the last 8 years.

I am amazed there are any manufacturers left in it after Citroen have dominated for so long. It is no good for the sport as it is.

The mini looks rubbish and the best thing that the WRC has going for it was that you or I could buy a car that effectively looked like the ones they were racing and we could convince ourselves that the 2ltr motor was similar. Bring back the group A days IMHO.

What if, what if, what if....the fact is he has won 8 championships....the fact is he is very, very good, the fact is that in the earlier titles he beat some strong competitors, the fact is even in his first season he was winning events, the fact is others in similar cars have struggled to win as consistently as him.
Shit if I had only 1% of his driving talent I would be very, very happy...

^^ This. I loved watching WRC and then seeing the same shape cars / specs on the road. Yes we all knew their 2L wasn't the same as out 2L, but we could dream!

End of the day, racing is advertising for the car companies. And I don't think anyone is going to be out buying 1.6L hatchbacks thinking they are cool.
