Cheers buddy. Should be after getting close to 10 years of time, effort and coin. Still a few more things I want to do.
Just got them online mate. Ebay i think they were. Just gotta keep an eye out for them. They are direct plug and play. They will fit up pretty good with the MY01 rear bar, but you need the MY03 for 100% perfect fitment.

Hey, I'm new to Perth-WRX and saw your bug which looks amazing.
My question is where did you get your front lip from? (also how much?). I really like the look of the one you have and have been searching for one since i got my bug a month ago as mine is completely stock looking and this would be a good start to changing the look. Thanks |

Trick is using heaps of self tappers so it's well and truly fastened on.

Did you find that the Ultrex lip isnt a 100% fit, and required a bit of manipulating to get it to line up spot on? I found the lip for GC8's is about 98% there and took a couple of attempts to get it right, with the end result having one side with about a 1-2mm gap from the bumper (filled with silicon and touch up paint to fix)

Cheers to Doug & the guys at S Technic for getting me in for Christmas. All done in a day, full credit to the guys. 6 Speed, plated diff, etc now all fitted up, R180 rear end. First impressions, wow, epic to drive. So much difference. First drive today (after stalling it first time) out of the car park. Hard to describe how much better is really is, but it just feels awesome. So much more focussed, the increase in grip is hugely noticeable and the tighter ratios compared to the more relaxed 3.54 is fantastic. Can tell there is a plated in the back now, but doesn't seem overly aggressive, so far. The old drivetrain felt significantly lazier in comparison. Need to re-learn how it behaves at full noise, but am saving that for the track. A 6 speed clutch and flywheel also went in on top of everything else as the old one was shagged somehow. Made sense to change it all when it was out even though not part of the plan. Also new Project Mu pads and shims up front, fresh oil, upper engine clean to finish the job. Quite a costly operation all up, but made the decision to keep the car and commit to doing it. For anyone else thinking of doing it, you will know where the money has gone. Merry Christmas to you all, hope you get some great parts for your subies! Obligatory box pic - Got a new shifter knob to finish the job. Cheers
