Gone into ASG for the tune today. Can't wait to get it back!

Run in was around 950km in the end. Could've been sooner, but had to get cash together for tune.

Will post up results etc.

It was good to dig up this thread, and see how much the car has changed since I got it 4 years ago. Not to mention how much I have learnt along the way.

Thanks to everyone from P-diddy who has helped out, offered advice and organised events over the years.

950km, normal, you do need the rings to bed in.

Bring it in so I can drain the oil and fill it with good stuff before the dyno.
You missed your Monday Appointment.

Doug - you have a PM

Update - car is back from ASG, and despite a few issues with my crappy immobiliser, it goes alright. Definitely a lot different to what I am used to. Pretty happy with it, got the biggest grin on my face as I first put it on WOT.

Couple of cosmetic changes coming soon, but planning to enter some track events and open it up.

Having problems with aftermarket alarm/immobiliser, which is cutting the fuel pump out and stopping it from starting sometimes. Need to sort it ASAP.

Seeing Dave's updates has inspired me to get my ass into gear.

Today I have completed my WRXOC application and CAMS L2S. Hopefully won't take too long to go through.

Skidpan next weekend to test the new limits, then will start looking to rallysprints etc.

Also trying to track down a Hyperflow catch can - they are still listed on their site as available, so I have made a query with them.

Got my CAMS licence in the mail yesterday, stoked.

Skidpan was pretty interesting, car responds much differently with the additional power on tap. Weight transfer and grip is crucial now, and I really need to focus on my basic driving techniques and get more practice at the car's limits.

Still chasing a catch can. Have stuffed a tyre on a curb, and am now considering options for upgrades on rubber. At the moment I have around 1k ready to spend on tyres, that I was going to be putting towards my 6spd. Up until now I have been running Bridgestone RE001 and RE002 tyres in 205/50-16.

Considering new rubber in 225/50-16 as the 205/50-16 are not available on tire rack etc.
Tossing up between the Bridgestone RE11, Yoko AD08, Toyo R888 or Yoko A048.
Tire rack can't supply RE55 or Yoko A050

Any advice? Last time I spoke to John at WW, he recommended the AD08.
But I can also keep some shitty RE001s on one set of rims (for street) then run some softer compound ones on another set for track.

I had a good run with Toyo R888's (GG compound) on my old 06 STi and they did an awesome job. Also Yokohamas works well too, but don't have real world experience with them
I reckon 1k you will have some change for sure!
