Took the car to Wilkinson Suspension yesterday. Very happy with their service etc, and they definately know their stuff.

They fitted my Whiteline anti-lift kit, camber bolts and roll centre kit, then gave it a slightly aggressive street alignment (increased camber)

Here is the details sheet, still trying to work out some of it, but the before and after is a good comparison

After getting the alignment & gear fitted, the car feels a bit more 'sure-footed', but I think the ALK has caused to car to feel the bumps a bit more. I drove on a local brick paved road that I drive on regularly, and it shook the crap out of my dash etc... Still waiting for a time & place to test out the new setup

The back struts in particular seem to creak alot more now though, and I'm not sure how old they are or if they are flogged out. I suppose that Wilkinsons should be able to inspect them though... Could be time for coilovers...

My turbo seems to make a 'tinkle-ing' noise on deceleration, I assume that this is a result of shaft play, perhaps the turbo is on it's way out?

ah ok, thought you just couldnt get the bolts/holes to line up?

cant even get mine near the bolts now without bending it on the wishbone.

i've contacted whiteline to see if their brace (like below) will fit with everything

Solid aluminium spacers? I used two 12mm bits of plate (basically 1" spacer each side) made into washers when i had the wagon.

Might give that a shot actually

Hopefully it wont compromise the fitment of the bolts at the front

Decided to go buy the Whiteline brace. Decided against the spacers as it would probably compromise strength etc.

Tried fitting, and it fouled on the exhaust! Will be modifying the dump and mid-pipe hanger so exhaust sits a bit closer to the chassis - on this note, I need to get the rear section of my exhaust repaired as another car gave me a shunt on the rear.... the bent section at the rear is now a bit more bent than it should be :S

Anyways, here's a pic of the new brace... just missing fitment!! Well I could probably fit it as is, but it would literally be pushing against the exhaust continually...

Been a while since an update, but not much happening lately. Disposable income is getting funneled into the house instead of the car! I'm driving round my old gen1 Lib wagon to save on the high maintenance costs of using the WRX as a daily.

Back to the car...
Smashed 2nd gear giving it a bit of stick around some twisties in woop woop. Towed home free with RAC. Wasn't ready for the gbox to go so soon, so was frantically considering my options for it - 6spd, 4.44, 4.44 DCCD... Luckily for me, was able to pick up another gbox for $500 from Chris/redlib, and get it on the road again in a matter of weeks. While it was out, we stuck on the Kartboy gearbox bushings. I don't expect this box to last forever either, so still looking to track down something stronger/more fun to last longer.

Picked up an STi spoiler and fitted to the car. It's still silver so makes the car look a bit weird, but I plan to paint soon with a bunch of other bits...

Fitted my Cusco BCS.. tightened it irresponsibly but to be honest, it didn't make much difference, but I think it is due to the crappy pads I still have.
Also swapped out the tan-coloured carpet with black. Looks much better now, and I don't have to worry about keeping it as clean. Still got tan coloured roof lining and sun visors though, but they aren't really noticed anyway so can stay that way for now.

Waiting to go on:
DMS40 coilovers (without hats atm)
Whiteline H-brace - won't fit unless exhaust is modified as above
New front bumper
Fog covers - but one of the covers doesn't fit right, might need to shave it down.

Looking to pick up:
Some hats for the DMSs
New rear bumper.
Side bumper clips - skirts are hanging a bit after a few of the clips snapped
Fire extinguisher with mount for Collie

If anyone can point me in the right direction with any of the above, please do

And for the gurus - are there any in-cabin adjustment/control options for DMS coilovers?

It's been a while since my last update...

But have just got the car back from STechnic and I can't wipe the grin off my face.
Gonna run the new engine in for a week, then take it to ASG for some Vipec love.

New cams are awesome.

Can't wait to finish the run in and open the taps!
