I am really glad the boys at Stechnic knew their stuff and were patient with us. From day 1 (Day before Collie Training Day) when I told David that if he could find a gearbox on that day I would pay that day to 2 months later when the 2 dodgy 6spds had finally been salvaged to make one whole gearbox. Definitely wasn't a good time for the 5spd to go with the majority of whole 6spds in Aus going for crackpipe pricing it took a lot of effort on both Mark and Stechnic's part to find both boxes and then the subsequent parts that were needed to make them workable. I must admit I did get sick of riding in Hyundai I30 hire cars

So took the beast out to the rally sprint last night. This is the first time I have hit the track in 2 years after my big off in collie and a bust gearbox and all the other issues....all I can say is it was a great night out shaved 12.2 odd seconds on my 3 runs then decided not to push for the fourth run I always destroy stuff on the last run. First run out 2:57 second run 2:51.2 third one out 2:45 all I can say is I will be back for the next season

Big thanks to Poor Darren car hopping between mine and Simon made a busy night for him showed to calling left instead of right. John at Wheels world for messing with the car all week and sorta getting a happy compromise to the setup. Dougie and the crew putting up with my car for close to 3 months with gearbox issues and stuff that never ends me thinks the bug needs a diet it's too fat but the spec c seats is a start

I've heard that the owner spends too much money on it and his wife would want him to spend more on holidays! :P

Picked this up a while ago from Sam did a test fit but ran into clock spring issue due to different models the mounts are different. All my research pointed to spicing airbag wires so as to re use my clock spring but was not an option for me.Click image for larger version

hit muggzy up mark, he's been doin quite a bit of research lately with different steering columns, i recon he would be able to piece together the puzzle, won't the later model clockspring (to suit that wheel) fit to the column? pretty sure russ has the same wheel in his bug
