Probably hardly ever drives the car hard enough to get the heat up to a temperature to need to worry about peeling the paint off...no offence intended here,,,just the car would have to be hard street or track driven to get the temperatures up...if only driven general street stylez wouldn't get too hot IMO

quick question, im keen on gettin a short shifter, im pretty happy with Rob from ultrex's price for one of them, but has anyone got one of his installed and any comments about it??

I had one on my 97 was good no issues.

Same length as the factory v5/6 STI short shifter.

You will need to flip & rotate the trans tunnel seal retainer to stop it fouling the retaining plate in first gear (common to most GC short shifters).
