Bit of an update:

Car is booked into ASG this wed for diagnosis as it is a bit jerky at certain throttle positions.

Apart from that it is all going well, had a few things done this week, I installed the stereo:

Alpine type R 6.5" Splits
Alpine Type R 5.25 Coax
Pioneer 1200w mono block
Pioneer 600w 4 channel
2x Pioneer 1200w Champion series subs.

Sounds pretty good, I was more after a better sound quality and the Alpine type R, definitely deliver when amplified correctly. The subs also do go quite hard, although I have them turned down a fair bit.

Also managed to get my rims put on this week, I ordered Ultrex RS rims in silver, had them Powder coated Pearl White. Threw on some shitty tyres for now, and some blue lug nuts to top it off..

Quite happy with them, though it looks and feels like a 4wd. Will be corrected shortly as I will be dumping it on some Whiteline G4 coilovers I am buying off a mate.

I will also be installing 6000K HID, and White LED all around, removing the sticker bomb as it is peeling, also swapping the s202 spoiler back for stock, and removing the fog light cover STI stickers, for a cleaner look.

Happy times

Those rims look hot, how much did the rims and powdercoating set you back?

Rims where $799, powder coating was $20 a rim, but it wasn't the best job. Lug nuts where $90. Tyres where all 2nd hand cheapies, $150 for all 4 fitted, balanced and put on my car.

fuck man, that looks awesome! Well done!

And G4's are a good move! Rare as rocking horse shit these days!

Why wasn't the powder coating the best job? PPC quoted me $220 to sandblast and powder coat a steel bullbar in white... surely you can get them to do the job and it be perfect for around that same money!

Cheers, I'm pretty happy the rims stand out heaps. Also I'm hoping they are a good coil over, couldn't really find any reviews on them, but my mate is selling them to me fairly cheap, and i know white line is a good brand, so i couldn't resist buying them.

Looking good mate.
Where did you get the rims powdercoated for $20 each?

as far as I know, Whiteline G4 coilies are a fucking good buy! If you are getting them cheap, your mate has no idea what he's doing!! :P sshhh
