Very tidy project. And DIY love as well.

Very well done, I personally hate doing gear boxes in the drive way.

well, series 2 is on a hoist in a bayswater workshop that my mate has lent me.

4.11 diff is in with fresh redline heavyweight, rear end of the car is all ready to go.

gearbox has a fucked selector rod. hence why it wasn't going into gear.

hit a hurdle: series 2 has a pull-type cable clutch. series 1 has a push-type hydraulic clutch.

so that means: flywheel/pressure plate/clutch/throwout bearing is all off. as well as the master/slave clutch cylinder + clutch pedal

3.9 dual range is out of the series 2. ready for 4.11 implant. tomorrow should be a bit better as i won't be as hungover or sleep deprived. spent just over 4 hours working on the car today. pretty stoked with my efforts.

more updates soon. the new one will inevitably be on the road tomorrow.

still running the NA clutch system.

I think you'll have to get yourself a turbo clutch pedal assembly and master cylinder and hoses to run your 4.11 box and clutch

There is a good chance your old motor may not be dead btw. Heard of and seen a number of RS and pre 98 WRX engines (including my own) break a cam wheel without internal damage.

When I crashed my black one, it actually snapped a chunk off the cam wheel.. and we didnt know because it drove fine for the next 6 months until I did a head gasket !
