Could be in for group buy dependent on price.

But with painting etc could quite quickly become more expensive then handling mods.

How did you go with the sti projectors?? I went to see mao today and got a pair of the LED side parkers, they are nice without being rice.

A lesson was learned. Dont touch the standard park bulb when they are on. It was like touching the farking sun! Skin came off and smoked up.

.. waiting for so many more bits to arrive !! patience, sigh.

I showed Rossco today when I dropped a part off to him. Its harder than I thought but shouldnt be too hard to do. Might take Coops up on his offer to help next Saturday tho.

Got the car back in the garage tonight after being away getting PDR'd. Filled it up with V-Power and I noticed a bit of a difference. The car absolutely stinks of fuel tho. Might have to get a couple of noses away from their coffee's tomorrow to do a smell around to see where its coming from.

My 01 stinks of fuel when it's warming up for the first 5 minutes on the road, more noticeable on cold mornings.

Nah this is only when I am parked and the tank is full. After half way it doesnt smell anymore. Smells inside and outside the car bad.

This could be the stupidest suggestion ever.. but could it be a corroded fuel tank? maybe seaping out somewhere into the boot.. which would obviously stink the whole car out? <- you know how technical i am tho Jase!

CSB - i remember watching an episode of wheeler dealers where they bought an old Volvo.. it had the same issue as yours and the cause was that the weld's on the tank had corroded and the gasses were causing the boot to stink of fuel (as the tank was under the boot-mat). /CSB

Option:

a) Adjust fuel gauge so Full = Half a tank
b) Replace fuel tank
c)

Joe came up with an idea. Maybe its the seal around the flap for the fuel pump. Maybe its perished? Ill have to check it out in the morning.

Well I did my first mod today. I replaced the standard RH tail light with the JDM RH tail light I got from ebay.

Before:

After:

I have noticed that its more tinted than my standard LH one. :/ Not to worry.

After that mod I thought I would have a look at replacing my front lights. I lifted the bonnet and noticed this.

After discussions with Rossco we think its the rubber CV boot.

Going to fix it next weekend with a mate of mine...
