my car is going great.
Thank fuck. I was really worried it had gone pop and you went to ground. No doubt you saw the Americans get stuck into me in 3gwrx, I was just voicing my concern that they were misleading you a little bit in terms of horsepower comparison. By all means they'll offer some great advice and examples of winning setups, just don't let their huge numbers blind you in the decision making process!

Glad to hear all is well, make sure you keep us updated via your driveway thread :)

haha yeah,

They do have some winning setups but for horsepower numbers theirs is fantasy numbers like how everyone says and we cant really compare to those numbers. =)

Will be updating my driveway when i get back. =)

How your car running at the moment?

Runs fine, just not getting much use at the moment as I'm on holidays but working at home and not getting out much. Battery went flat the other day for an unknown reason so charged that up and keeping an eye on it. Waiting for some $'s that are owed to me and sway bars will be on :D

Minor and rather uninteresting update, but the trolley now has some whiteline goodies. Front 24mm 2 way adjustable sway (set to stiffest setting), Rear 22mm 3 way adjustable sway (set to medium) and anti lift kit.

Over the next few months I will collect a few other small offerings from Whiteline, hopefully get myself a helmet and attend some skids.

Probably best purchase so far. I went short shifter, sway bays, ...

Nice, interested to know why you went 24mm front and 22mm rear when everyone seems to go 22mm front and 24mm rear?

TheDoctor 30-04-2012 09:10 PM

Keep it up Craig.

x2

Thats going to understeer harder ... well than a WRX

GTB Liberty 30-04-2012 09:27 PM

Perhaps the numbers are reversed by accident?

Maybe it's the older chassis that sees owners wanting/needing a thicker rear bar, but everything I have read from the usual suspects in regards to forums, owners of 08+ WRX's seem to favour a thicker bar at the front. This post was an interesting read and John @ Wheels World also suggested 24/22 when I initially got a quote from him late last year.

By mistake, I actually had a 22mm on the front for the past week. That's why I was back at EvoR this evening, getting the 24mm I actually ordered put on in place of it. I think it feels much stiffer and more precise. Having said that, I haven't really driven my car hard enough to encounter much understeer. If I do, I'll drop it back to the softer setting, and improve my driving skills (which I dare say are non existent at this stage).
