My RS was 20% - I dare say its the darkest you will get away with without a heavy second glance from a officer of the law. Red seems to amplify the grade too.

My 1JZ Cressida was 5% - on purpose to avoid people seeing the give away signs that it had been turboed/manualised... it was cool but also very difficult to live with. At night, window down effort to see anything beyond dead ahead.

My black Lib was 10%, not much better.

Like Tris said, it looks good but is it worth a sticker? Probably not.

Motion sensing security lights work a treat

35% is more than adequate unless you have something to hide in the car

Actually if he sucks i'll still give you the details because you're such a good friend

I'll have a look at them and see, but yes, i wouldn't want to go through the hassle of removing it and then having to put 35 on anyway.

Still getting used to the lip as well, damn hospital has put a speed hump right at the entry now and its a freaking nightmare to get over without touching it. Managing ok every where else. Still haven't cracked it!

Many vehicles with factory tinted glass at 19% (standard rears on Liberty / EVO) makes having tint at 20% easier to get away with now a days. You just have to ensure that the front windows are substantially lighter.

Mel look Click Here. Scroll down and you'll can see a before and after pic looking through the front and rear windows.

Application of 16% on fronts and 35% on all rear glass which the doors are factory tinted at 19% and the rear windscreen at 30% bring the rear doors to 6% and the rear glass to 20%.

Hope that helps.

Personally, I'd go 35% on the front and 20% on the rear glass. A compromise and least obvious.

Factory privacy glass on the read windscreen and rear windows, 35% tint on the front passenger and driver windows.

Don't know what the % is on the privacy glass.

Oh god, the RAC and i are on a first name basis in regards to towing.. 7 times in the space of 4 months, lol.

Great to see it's all sorted now anyway, and best of luck.

... "Few weeks later had trouble getting her started, (yes I know where the clutch is and how to switch to ignition). Luckily my free tow with the RAC came in handy and she went to Stechnic. "

probably a bit too late ;_;
