Oh yes it does... It's insane the amount of difference the tune and exhaust has made to the car. No more doughy acceleration.. turbo comes in at the right time and holds all the way through instead of coming on in an eventually laggy curve.

AVCS pays a large part also in boost levels & how air flows through the engine & then that flow influencing the pressure.
There's bleeding boost back in high rpm and then there is boost spike - I see spike on that graph not controlled boost.

And in theory with AVCS the Torque should hang about longer with the adjustment to the cam timing to suit the map profile - that is the point of AVCS.

Not saying it's a bad result Mitch I think it's good but maybe try a Mac valve or similar to hold the peak boost a bit longer and more controlled.

All depends if the AVCS has been tuned to match the modifications?

Wouldn't that be the point of a tune?

I think you might be surprised how AVCS timing does not get touched on a basic tune up such as an exhaust, CAI.... what ever whatever. Not saying it hasn't been touched, but it realistically takes time to tune AVCS correctly
SyncSubaru and Dan [GTI] like this.

With minimal mods I can't imagine there would be big gains to be made especially when you consider the time ($$$ cost) it would take to gain full advantage of the AVCS.
