Ordered the parts on Saturday a week ago as Wangara isn't open Saturday. Was told parts would be in monday or Tuesday at the latest. Called last Wednesday to see why I hadn't got a call as yet and the parts were apparently not available ex east so coming ex Japan. Was told then it would be a week or so. Didn't realise that you can legally sell goods that you don't have...

Well I finally got my injector seals on friday. Had little time to work on it over the weekend but did manage to destroy a new set of intake gaskets. I got a silicone intake from Gav I think it was a few years back for the white wagon. Decided it was too much fucking around to put on so sat it on the shelf. Decided that as the manifold had to come off this that I may as well use it. I will never be installing another. Had to trim a bunch off where it fits to the turbo. As it is fatter, I had to accomodate for where the fuel lines ran. I'd say all up I have probably spent about 5 hours test fitting and general dicking around but have finally got the inlet manifold bolted back where it should be.
Also bought and fitted a new walbro. Fuel in the tank was probably 3 years old. Lets say it don't taste good. Now all drained ready to refill.

Anyone know what the torque settings for the inlet manifold bolts are?
Just gotta torque the bolts and hook up a few plugs and hoses and fingers crossed it will be running again in the next day or two.

The dash from the donor STI had holes drilled in it from the gauges that were installed in it. The N/A dash was perfect but was a light grey rather than the darker STI colour. I contemplated painting it to the right colour but then decided I wanted it a bit different. Just got the dash back on Thursday and it is now flocked. Pics don't show it up so well but I am fairly happy with the end result.

I ripped the STI dash back out last night and got to this morning swapping all the gear into the new flocked dash. All went well except that a previous owner had glued the passenger side vent in the open position so I may need to work on that a little before it goes in. Otherwise the new dash is prepped to be installed at a later date.

Spent a few hours on it this morning and ended up with this;

Aerial now deleted and is being replaced with a window mounted strip.

Lachie approves;

Got a set of black wheel nuts last week to use with the bugeye wheels. Tossing up between painting and powdercoating them. Got a while to think on that though.
