actually very impressed with it which is surprising seeing as it is only running 17psi.

Happily lights up all 4 in 3rd (this would be in the wet) and has a great spread of torque.

Still wish it had more up top but 255 of fail says it will be fine for now.

I want to take it to the drags and see what it runs just for a compariaion to the old girl.

Only fail at the moment is the clutch - smash the foot in 4th from low revs and the torque spins the clutch up. Not an issue in the lower gears when on the run but will have to get sorted.

I am still sort of thinking about a built short block though as the power is somewhat intoxicating and I wil want more!

ok so it would seem that a gauntlet has been thrown down so I need a new clutch and flywheel.

Seeing as I am nice to my cars this is only the 2nd clutch I have had to buy for a subaru in 18 years - so what is the go these days?

Daily drive - 400+Nm - not brass button

Are the xeedy ones the way top go? quick give feedback so I can go to the drags!!

I like a good fight ...

Scary - I believe Mao (Evo R) stocks various Exedy clutches.
