What's the history of the engine and why was it sitting there to be used?

this is my guess but seeing as I have 414Nm already maybe a bit more torque.

How do I come up with this number??

Assuming a drivetrain loss on MMS Dyno of 50-66kw (based on std cars run up with factory numbers of 196-206kw) and assuming the comment by the turbo manufacturer of 430hp at the flywheel = possible 316Kw less 50 -66kw = 266 - 250kw.

It has the engine to do it factor in a few ancillaries my punt is 220 - 250kw on MMS (make baby jesus cry low number) dyno.

And if it doesn't who gives a shit really? no doubt it will have enough to be entertaining.

Sorry Scary that was a typo - I meant 480 NM. Why that number - used possible power as a ratio and then added more for stroked Cossie.

long story short - Guy orders motor from Cosworth, engine installed and makes some not nice noises

Refuses to have engine rebuilt (fair call as it was somewhere near 25K), new engine supplied by Cosworth.

Cosworth doesn't want long motor back - Wizza cuts a deal with Cosworth for parts to rebuild bottom end (no I don't know what just remember it happening)

Steve passes away (RIP mate) and motor sits in corner - no one knows what it is etc.

MMS move workshop - hmm WTF is that?? Gets stored away.

Shane blows up motor and calls Dean - Hmm we have this are you willing to take a punt??

I say yeah sure why not seems like the best option.

Hence I have been finding out the specs direct from Cosworth in the US

I think I'm going to disagree with you Dave,

From your thread -

297 hp and 420 nm at 20 psi, needs CAI to make more power and this will go on when the new turbo goes on....runs like boss and sounds damn good on full herbs

20psi is barely touching the efficiency range of the turbo it is made for 24+ and remember you got the above result with the milo tin that xforce tried to pass off as a dump pipe.

I don't think it will get 400 atw but there is no reason the turbo can't punch out mid to high 300's atw

If my unopened stock turbo can hit 300awhp on 98 with some left in reserve, 400 at the treads should be a picnic with your build.

Ahh, sort of didn't make sense that you'd need to research an engine sitting at MMS to get the specs.
Sounds like a mint deal for you.
