Take it easy now, no more breakages as nappies cost a fortune.

Congrats at nearly finishing too.
I'm sat here at work trying to come up with some comeback, but I can't, so FUCK YOU CUNT.

BTW, I swapped your 044 for a Savage Garden CD.

Yeah Craig, that's about right, I run 2 master cylinders now though opposed to 1 in the standard set up. This means I can adjust & control my front & rear brakes independently of each other.

The booster has been removed along with pretty much everything else (clutch master too) & plates placed over where they went on the fire wire & welded up.

The pedal will be quite firm now, have less actual travel & have much more of a feel to it. I never really trusted my brakes to be honest & its one area I lacked I think. Hopefully I will have more trust in them now & be able to brake later.

I'm only running the front STD callipers at the moment, as getting the rears on was too much of a mission at the time. The rears are still the standard WRX 2 spots, with unknown pads at the moment, but I have some HC+ to go in there.

The pads are a "street" based pad I have in there front, that came with the kit (non branded), they seem pretty good though. I was looking to get better pads, Club Racer or 3000's, but when I used the Bendix catalogue to compare the shape og the pad, the best I could come up with was an Mitsi Evo pad if I remember correctly.

Just a quick update. A little progress was made last week & I thought I would keep the thread updated.

The conversion adapter had to be made again from scratch. This is due to the big ass Process West manifold being in the way of both the compressor housing & not being able to get the wastegate in place.

Once this was completed & we were happy with where the turbo was sitting, we then moved onto the turbo outlet inter cooler pipe work. You can see the beginning of this in the 2nd pic.

The small ice box was mounted & installed & lines were run for the inter cooler to the HX & ice box. The pump was put into place & tested the system at 12V. The flow is exactly what I was expecting & I also have a valve on the discharge of the pump to allow more adjustment & control of the flow.

I had to remount the dry sump oil tank again, as I had mounted it too high, which when the car was off, allow the oil to fill up the sump oil pan. I finished running the lines for the tank & also mounted the catch can.

Pedal box is next, there are a few loose ends that need finishing. A quick clean & touch up of the interior paint, mount the ECU, boost controllers & refit the interior. Triple check everything & I reckon, everything going well, I should have the thing on the dyno in 4 - 6 weeks one I have gone for a long drive to run everything in.

Hopefully I have not made a colossal mistake with the inter cooler & it can last for 5 min without getting too hot....

Strubaru, Cinaber, RUSSGT and 4 others like this.

Spotted this beast some time back in High Wycombe Coles car park. Couldn't miss that bright orange wrap!

The intercooler looks like a decent size unit so as long as you can keep a constant flow cool water (and a large enough reservoir to ensure the water has adequate time to chill) it shouldn't retain much heat.
