Suspension ancillaries is the next mod. Sway bars, anti lift kit, anti castor... Blah blah.

Oh and GD lower control arms

So after the issue with the MAP sensor has now been resolved (thread here), I could only get up to around 17 ish PSI of boost, before I was maxing out the 440cc injectors on duty cycle.

So this morning I decided to put in a set of 500 (some say 550) Forester injectors, to allow slightly more room & a bit more safety.

A few compulsory pics.

Old Yellow 440's & new Blue 500's

1st injector out

500's in

The car runs smooth after changing some settings on the FC, & at around 1.35 bar (19.5 PSI), with AFR's in the low 11's, I am now only hitting 89% duty cycle, at 6900 rpm, in 4th gear. This puts the car at the maximum boost I want to be running, with a 10% safety margin on the injectors now, which I am quite happy with.

Yep direct fit. Pain in the ass to get the old ones out though. It took me about 2 1/2 hours
to do the whole thing.

Just remember, you cant just go changing out injectors without tuning once installed.

Any particular reason you are needing new injectors soon Cam? You should be able to get 180-190kwatw with a good turbo, fuel pump and intercooler without the need for new injectors?
Mines still got way more left in it with the stock injectors (haven't been decapped or anything) and 17psi with about 180kw atw. All the while retaining well over 500kms per tank for daily driving if I'm nice to it...

What are your plans for the blue beast?

The blue beast is getting a new turbo, intercooler, boost controller and solenoid, and the appropriate retune. I figured while I am at it - its probably a decent idea to do the injectors - it has been recommended to me by more than a couple of people. Probably need to do the fuel pump aswell I suppose?
