Bug N Out
Sitting here having a look at some of the other builds going around and thought it was probably time I got my act together and put mine up.
My car is an 02 Bug Eye hatch. Originally purchased bog stock from Subaru Wangara, with the intention of it being a good daily run around for work. It has progressed somewhat since then to its current form. The first mods were as follows Pedders sports suspension Autronics SM4 pnp ecu VF34 BOV 3 Inch Turbo back exhaust Tint Strut Braces Upgraded top mount This was making 270Hp at the wheels quite happily, but as happens, i just wanted to squeeze a little bit more out of it. The standard motor spun a big end bearing and it was time to rebuild it. I originally was looking at just a mild rebuild to get it back on the road, but after some consideration, decided that i have gone to far to get rid of it now anyway. Decided to build a 2.2 stroker motor for it and build it so that it would make the power i wanted, whilst still being as safe as possible. The build contains the following Spec c blocks Spec c Inlet manifold Billet crank Injector Dynamics 725cc injectors Manley billet Rods Manley forged pistons Fully serviced stock heads Kelford 272 deg cams Titanium springs and retainers ARP headstud kit ACL bearings new timing belt and all pulleys Tomei arms m7960 standard fitment turbo Hyperflow front mount cooler and topmount oil cooler kit. Autronics knock board HSD Coilovers STI Ra 6 speed conversion with cusco 2 way lsd It is now making 366hp at the wheels, and 472nm of torque, running 1.4bar of boost. I am very happy with the outcome and quality of work that Racetorque have put into my build, and look forward to getting it leant on a bit harder down the track. I am yet to put it down the quarter properly, but intend to do it soon. Thanks for reading Nathan

I agree, It looks nice, but with a more aggressive offset and style it will look CRAZY ...but doesn't matter what wheels you have or what it looks like because it will run with the best of them, and give many fast cars a run for their money! GREAT BUILD!

Can vouch for the fun factor being turned up to 10 with the new motor. Goes like a boss!

Good write up Nathan. Love your car every time I see it. I still need to go for a ride in it sometime though.
