Seriously just get the motor out (as it has to be done anyways).
Either crack the short block open and rebuild or buy a new 207
(from links forde posted above) Grab new head gaskets and bolt everything back together.
ImPreSiV, Soksta and mitchwnz like this.

Whats the full specs on the block? Just a set forgies or has everything else been done? No need to scream 207 if all the good bits of a decent 2.5 are in there. Rip it out and have a look, needs to be done anyway.

And who tuned it?

Rang maximum earlier...had a word with dean, and by the sounds of it, i cant put a 207 motor as the wiring will be all different..looks like im just going to have to buy a short block 2.5ltr and bolt my heads and everything else...shame because i was going to buy bennys motor...

hang on, one thing i dont understand, you bought a car from Balga with a farked main bearing (as advertised) but you didn't know about it? you didn't read the ad properly and you didn't get the mechanical checks done on it? also you have no idea whether it's a ppg/dog/cat gearbox?

mate i'm sorry to hear that it will cost you lot of $ but learn the lessons
