Wrap the headers. It makes an awesome smell in winter when they get soaking wet. Occasionally you will get steam coming out of your bonnet scoop too, making you shit your daks, thinking something is wrong.

I will be getting this done on the next set of headers going onto the bug not a fan of wrap, and after a major oil leak I had that dripped straight onto the headers I was happy there was no material the oil could soak into (stupid china gaskets never again)

What is the compression ratio of your built engine? Does anyone know? It's the first thing the tuner will ask. (well maybe not the first thing, but if he's any good he will ask)

New heads but same heads?
This is like de ja vu all over again. STOCK ECU AND STOCK TURBO for now. Do not drive it 1m with a differing combo. When you buy an ECU, have the car booked in for tune and have the tuner fit the ecu then tune the car on the spot. Not rocket science.

Love the way businesses are not published. Just in case it all goes bad again?
As if it's inevitable. (I hope not) Handing these things over to a reputable builder and getting a working result should be a no brainier given the history. There's likely a lot of concern from others based on lack of info and degree of secrecy.
