Ajjjj, is that trade price you're quoting?

The cheapest price to "public" was around 1900

They are about 2200 at the moment

Gimme enough cash and you can buy my engine. I forget I even have it until people send me pictures of it from time to time.

Good luck breaking that.

Cat, I think you are maybe getting your blocks ID's confused, your old block which it sounds like is being re-built is an EJ20 along with everything WRX pre 99 or 00, the later blocks with the offset manifold bolts were EJ205 = WRX and EJ207 = STI, these blocks came out in either 99 or 00...............therefore your old block is actually an EJ20 just to stop any confusion.

They are all EJ20, even her old n/a motor was. I'm fairly sure the V3/4 motor is an EJ20K.

Yeah, Hers will be a EJ20K. Open deck, 4 bellhousing attachment points, straight port bolt pattern, waste spark coil in the centre of the manifold.
They go like stink but are not known for durability especially if the halfcut has been neglected. They come from factory with a 7800 r/min limiter which can lead to failures.

If you use a EJ207 bottom end with those small chamber EJ20K heads there will be compression ratio issues that will need to be resolved or it WILL ping and destruct.

RRP on the block is $3,900.

Other prices are a fark you Jarvis special.

Block is essentially superseeded now and not worth much on the retail market.
